Are you wondering, “Is there a way to improve my vision without having to rely on glasses or contact lenses? YES! LASIK can treat a very broad range of prescriptions:
Myopia (nearsightedness)
A person can see objects near more clearly than distant objects
Hyperopia (farsightedness)
A person typically sees objects far away more clearly that near objects. If you have a high correction, it may also be
hard for you to see distant objects.
Astigmatism
If you have an oval shape to your cornea, which gives you a distortion, or tilting, of images. Astigmatism may blur vision
for both near and distant objects.
Presbyopia
For nearly everyone, beginning in their 40s or 50s, the lens of the eye loses some of its flexibility, making it necessary to
use bifocals or reading glasses. LASIK does not correct presbyopia.
