with Convenient Options”
Today, there are an amazing array of procedures that can help you to achieve your best possible vision. Some of these procedures are considered medically necessary and may be covered by your medical or vision insurance. Other procedures such as LASIK, PRK or “Lifestyle” Intraocular Lenses (IOLs) are often considered as ‘elective’ and require the patient to pay an additional cost. The good news is that there are a variety of financing options available that allow you to choose and undergo the procedure you need or want.
At OPI, we accept the following payment options for your convenience.
- Cash/check
- MasterCard, Visa
- CARE Credit
- Flexible Spending Account
- Vision/Medical Insurance

Flexible Spending Account
What is a Flexible Spending Account?A Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is a tax-favored financial program offered by an employer in the United States allowing employees to set aside a designated portion of their wages (pre-tax dollars) to pay for eligible out-of-pocket health care expenses.
The most common FSA, Medical Expense, is used to pay for medical expenses not covered by insurance such as deductibles, co-payments, dental and vision expenses, and over-the-counter medications. FSA Medical Expense funds cannot be used for “general health items” or cosmetic surgery, but are designated for use to treat or prevent specific medical conditions.
Although limited in scope of coverage, this type of account can provide funding for certain vision and eye care procedures with some advance planning. If you have a Medical Expense FSA account through your employer and are considering medically-necessary vision or eye care procedures, consult with your vision care professional to discuss and plan for your particular case. Afterwards, follow-up with your employer will be necessary in order to determine eligibility for their specific Medical Expense FSA requirements.
For complete information on Flexible Spending Accounts, refer to the FSA website at https://www.fasfeds.com in addition to speaking with your employer regarding the specifics of their FSA program offerings.
